Offerings
1 on 1 Sessions
These sessions provide an opportunity to make sense of all the many things we can experience in the face of significant loss or big changes in our life.
Through a combination of talk, somatic, and energetic practices, we will explore together how to increase your capacity to live more fully with the things you carry.
Held in-person or virtually. 1 hour.
Grief Sanghas
Grief Sanghas provide an opportunity to engage with our grief while in community with others. It gives us a place to just be without feeling the need to explain or justify. Sanghas may include sharing, writing, movement, poetry, rituals or ceremony, and art. Each will evolve based on the needs and interest of the group.
Held either in-person in Seattle or virtually. 8 weeks. 90-120 minutes. Will schedule with enough interest.
Creating a ritual or designing a ceremony gives us a way to drop into our emotions and to engage with the profound changes that come from loss. Rituals and ceremonies allow us to hold and honor the significant events and transitions in our lives.
If you would like to create a ritual or ceremony to mark something or someone in your life, please schedule some time to discuss.
Grief Ceremony or Ritual
The name Grief Momma came to me when I was first thinking about doing this work. It signifies to me both the primary loss I carry, and it is a nod to the Motrin Mommas, or just Mommas, a soccer team of wonderful women who first met on the pitch. Decades later, we are still a group of sorts, sharing lots of other activities, and weathering the ups and downs of life together. In the depths of my loss, I was shown the power of kindness and community through these women.
